I am deeply respectful of our planet Earth and am moved by its natural beauty. I am very concerned about how we live nowadays. I try, through my art practice and my life style, to acknowledge the beauty of nature and the fears I have about its stability.
The relationship between humans and nature has been and continues to be hierarchical and one of dominance. Understanding how and when this happened fascinates me and looking at history, I feel that religion may be the culprit. I wonder how far we can separate ourselves from our environment - we seem to be stretching the experiment like an elastic pulled out, ready to snap.
My investigation into my own surroundings brings me to an exploration of nature’s rhythm and to the language nature speaks with shape, pattern, color and texture.
